Red Maple

It has almost the same geographical distribution than the maple sugar tree and they usually grow together. It is a smaller tree that rarely exceeds 30m. The small and narrower leaves have pointed lobes, with more diminutively toothed margins; the autumnal colors are reddish, brilliant and wonderful. The wood is of lower quality than the maple sugar tree, but it is used for similar purposes.
