Horizontal Cypress

It is an elegant tree of narrow appearance that reaches a height of 30m. It has elongated branches, and is excellent to plant as windbreak. Cultivated since ancient times, it is naturalized in the Mediterranean, having spread through the north of India and China. It does not stand temperatures minors to -10°C, being indifferent to the soil composition, adapting itself in poor and dry grounds, though calcareous if they are deep.
