Mountain Elm It is native specie of Great Britain and Western Asia that has a wider and rounder appearance than the countryside elm, with a less defined main branch and more arched branches; the bark is plainer with longer and less pronouncing fissures. The buds are darker and a little older; the leaves are bigger (up to 15cm). The wood is similar, but with a more uniform grain. The mountain elm, rarely have shoots, but its seeds, quite big are very fertile.
