American Oak It is originally and widely extended in Canada and northeast America where it reaches a height up to 40 m. The big elongated leaves, of 12-24 cm long, with sharp lobes of variable size, start being yellow in spring and then turn a beautiful red color in autumn: but this vary; in some trees it goes as far as dark brown. It is a quick growth tree; light brown-reddish wood, quite good, of right grain, easy to cut but not as resistant as the Quercus robur or Quercus alba.
